Richmond Based Company Celebrates a 25 Year Anniversary
December 9, 2009 ---RICHMOND, VIRGINIA —Associated Educational Services of Virginia (AES), a service-based organization that offers support and guidance to families, recently celebrated its twenty-five year anniversary.
"Since 1984, our company has grown from a two person tutorial service to a full service educational and mental health services agency with offices in Central and Northern Virginia " said Purcell Branch, President and CEO of AES. "We have grown in many ways since our start, and I feel privileged to have served our clients and our community during this last 25 years."
During its twenty-five years of service, Associated Educational Services of Virginia has helped thousands of children and their families through their programs. Program options include Intensive In Home Counseling Services, Therapeutic Day Treatment Services and the Metropolitan Day School.
Intensive In Home Counseling is designed to provide guidance and support to children and adolescents who are at risk of removal from the home due to mental, social, emotional and /or behavioral problems .Services are provided year round ,designed to foster success in the home ,community and school.
Therapeutic Day Treatment includes in school support as well as after school programs. The goals of these programs are to retain the youth in the community, while empowering the family.
The Metropolitan Day School is fully licensed and accredited, providing an alternative to a traditional education model for youth with behavioral challenges. Students in this program have experienced success that may not have been possible in a traditional classroom setting.
For twenty-five years, we have been committed to providing quality mental health and educational services to some of our areas most troubled and underserved youth. It feels great to give them alternatives, hope and skills they can use for a lifetime.” says Purcell Branch.

Associated Educational Services of Virginia is pleased to announce the Metropolitan Day School has received approval for 5 year Accreditation with Commendation.
Metropolitan Day School of Associated Educational Services of Virginia receives 5 year Accreditation with Commendation.
April 1, 2010 ---RICHMOND, VIRGINIA — Metropolitan Day School has been approved for 5 year Accreditation with Commendation for VAISEF. This exceptional recognition indicates that the program has attained over 95% compliance with accreditation standards.
To be considered for accreditation, a program must have been a member of VAISEF, been in operation, and licensed by the Department of Education for at least one year and hold a one year renewable Department of Educational license.
VAISEF stands for the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities, and was chartered in 1973 for the purpose of developing and maintaining an effective collaborative relationship with public sector educational and human service agencies.
Metropolitan Day School is an intensive highly structured day school tailored to meet the need of students with learning disabilities and emotional disturbance. Metropolitan Day School is a division of Associated Educational Services of Virginia (AES), a service-based organization that offers support and guidance to families.
The Metropolitan Day School is fully licensed and accredited, providing an alternative to a traditional education model for youth with behavioral challenges. Students in this program have experienced success in transitioning back into traditional classroom settings.

April 5, 2010 ---RICHMOND, VIRGINIA — Associated Educational Services of Virginia (AES), a service-based organization that offers therapeutic and educational support and guidance to families, is proud to be a sponsor of the HCA Virginia and Team HCA‘s “An Evening for MS”. This event will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at HCA Central Atlantic Supply Chain at 200 Wadsworth Drive in Richmond.
“An Evening for MS” kicks off at 2pm ending at 11pm. There will be a variety of bands performing in four different genres including Latin, Gospel, Rock and Roll and R&B. Tickets are available at the gate. For more information visit www.teamhca.hcasupply.com.
AES President / CEO Purcell C. Branch, Jr. stated that “AES is fully committed to this most worthy cause and honored to join HCA Virginia in support of the Central Virginia Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Central Virginia Bike Ride MS.”

AES offers therapeutic services for youth and families in Central and Northern Virginia. The staff of over 120 counselors, educators and support staff have served thousands of youth and families over the last 25 years. Treatment services include intensive in home, therapeutic day treatment, counseling services, after school programs and specialized summer programs.
